I don't understand why it wasn't done either. The CEO of Binance supposedly has an account on Steemit and has mentioned that he has blogged on Steemit. Also Binance recently created an account called @binanceexchange. Seems like they would understand the importance of listing SBD. I think we need to keep the pressure on until SBD gets listed.

Yeah it was totally stupid to put Steem on Binance and not SBD.

I don't think the CEO is drunk. I think most likely that it was intended. It took forever for STEEM to get listed on Binance all while YOYOW was listed on Binance, and YOYOW doesn't even come anywhere near the size of STEEM. YOYOW is a Chinese version of Steemit, so I think there was and possibly still is some favoritism towards YOYOW instead of it's bigger brother Steemit.

I understand it furthers steem and Steemit to list sbd but what specific advantages will it have to get it listed? Upvoted!
It benefits users in the short term that get paid in SBD. Listing on Binance would only improve the price of SBD. It would also benefit Binance since much of the Steemit users need to sell SBD to buy Steem. Only listing Steem defeats that purpose. Some of the other exchanges still have Steem and SBD, but don't have functioning wallets which makes exchanging SBD/STEEM impossible. We need more options. Eventually down the road, SBD is intended to be used as a pegged dollar. If it is everywhere like Tether is, then it may actually be a replacement for Tether. Imagine that! The more exchanges, the better for Steem and Steemit community. Listing on Binance is a big step and will make the currency more mainstream.
