[0222] - Bitcoin Price Pump = Sign of a Big Dump Ahead

When I checked the coin markets today and saw Bitcoin was up over 9%, I was highly suspicious of the price movement.

Why?

$25B+ comes into the market, after months of downtrend? Come on! What sparked the sudden enthusiasm after months of stagnation?

1. Price Spike = Instability

Given the price pump happened in such a quick time frame, I am cautious of the price hike in Bitcoin and the crypto markets. Rather than thinking that this is a 'sure sign' of a bull run, I think it is a sure sign of instability.

Had the price action taken place gradually, then fine. It is more likely stable. But the way it did rings alarm bells.

2. Public, Not OTC

Another big reason I am cautious is that the big players trade OTC ( over the counter ) and not via the exchanges. They know that plonking down 10M or 100M will sharply increase the price before their trade is complete.

This rings big alarm bells in my mind.

In other words, this is a public play to scoop up public money invested by suckers.

3. Sign of a Dump

The steep incline in price and injection of capital into the markets, I think, is a test of the market by people with big money and I think it will be sold down sometime in the next few days or week.

In other words, the market will dump back to where it was. Someone out there is aiming to take quick profits and knows that crypto is a great place to make a clean get away, with no regulatory oversight to worry about.

Like taking candy from a baby.

Ask yourself. How many crypto peeps will think this is a sign that 'the bulls have returned'?

Aching for a return to green, many peeps will be suckered into pumping money into the market and not be thinking clearly.

Unaware of the possibility of just as steep a decline. A sharp sell off.

While I may be proven completely wrong, I am watching the markets for a chance to do the same as the big players. Sell off into the demand and take profits.
