Did Hayek Predict Bitcoin?

In the spirit of economic greats and bitcoin (celebrating my newly arrived swag from Human-Action.net) I wanted to repost these excerpts from a 1989 interview that Hayek did where he was remarkably prescient about bitcoin.
He says:
"I don't believe we shall ever have a good money again, before we take the thing out of the hands of government. We can't take it violently out of the hands of government. All we can do is by some sly, roundabout way introduce something that they can't stop."
Hayek is the greatest :)

It's quite interesting how often people do predict these things... I'd venture a guess that many science fiction writers also had the idea when they would write novels about other worlds in which everything was traded on "credits" of some kind... which were merely standard units of exchange, agreed on by merchants but without there ever being a mention of government. Cool post!
