You can pay your rent with Bitcoin if you rent one of the 400,000 ManageGo units in the United States.

In an interview with CNBC, Chaim Lowenstein, Vice President of Business Strategy for ManageGo, a New York-based rental platform offering payment and maintenance services to homeowners and tenants, ManageGo accepts Bitcoin cryptocurrency for its 400,000 units across the country. They offered the service from January 2018 and 38 tenants paid their rent with bitcoin the first month.

How does it work?
The tenant uses bitcoin, then ManageGo converts the bitcoin into dollars using Coinbase, a digital cryptocurrency broker. The landlord receives the rent in dollars. As bitcoin is extremely volatile, the value is locked at the time of payment.
If you look at the rental market, ManageGo is one of the many rental agencies looking to differentiate itself by adopting technology. Many rental agencies use online payment services to streamline their operations and improve their efficiency.

In his interview with CNBC Chaim Lowenstein, vice president of business strategy at ManageGo was quoted: "We are driving innovation, so we saw that bitcoin was something that would happen and become a permanent currency in the future”. "Currently, we have several types of clients and we wanted to offer it as new benefit from technology equipment, that is something beyond a sophisticated gym or a new sofa in the building.”

ManageGO is a company which specializes in providing a way for tenants to pay and landlords to accept rent payments online.

They do this through an Application you can download for free from the Apple or Android App Store. They made news in 2017 by being the first major rental agency to accept Bitcoin for rent payments.
