Lot's of people are worried about Bitcoin scaling to meet the needs of 2017 global eCommerce, and this is a valid concern! However, take heart m'lads! for Bitcoin right now is simply the internet in 2002.
Back then, the Internet was a store of information, just as Bitcoin is a store of value today; then the internet scaled to provide streaming data, and Bitcoin will scale to provide streaming payments.
It's important for us to voice our opinions as members of the Bitcoin community, because that's how the culture evolves and issues get addressed, and we should prepare ourselves emotionally for the ups and downs that are coming, but we also should stay resolute -- this too shall pass!

I agree shayne, it is still early days for Bitcoin.
I remember back in the early days of the web, so called experts said that the TCIP protocol would not be scalable for the internet to host online streaming and yet a look what happened. So exciting to be part of the future happening right before our eyes.
