Crypto Market Update (01 August 2018)

At the time of writing, the Bitcoin price is sitting at $7,564 representing a loss of 5.97% in the last 24 hours. More than $880 M worth of BTC were exchanged in the BTC/USD market representing a 28.3% share of the global daily volume. The BTC/JPY pair represents a 12.9% share.

The South Korean government has announced a new set of tax law amendments. According to the proposal, income and corporate tax deductions will no longer be applied to Bitcoin exchanges. Moreover, regulators have also been considering imposing capital gains tax on the sale of cryptocurrencies. In the official statement published on Monday, the South Korean government wrote:
