Because on average, you can make far greater gains with altcoins. Not a lot of ppl can afford a whole bitcoin, but they can buy 5-10,000 of an altcoin and take significant profits when it shoots up 50+%.
Thank you @eavaryan for your response. I just feel like I'm trying to chase a bitcoin every month. It keeps going up and I'm chasing my first bitcoin. I tried investing in alt coins but it looks like bitcoin is moving faster than Altcoins.
No problem! Consider: If you bought $1000 worth of bitcoin when it was at 3000 and you sold at 4000, that's a $333 profit. (And keep in mind that 1000 jump in btc is huuuuge and somewhat abnormal). If you bought $1000 worth of neo at $7 and sold at $30, that is FAR greater profit. There is just sooo much more room for big gains in altcoins. The right altcoins, mind you, but yeah!
