Today is Bitcoin's birthday! Happy birthday on your ninth birthday, Bitcoin!

Today, on Halloween, Tuesday 31st 2017, Bitcoin turns 9 years old. For some, the prices of Bitcoin are "scaaaary" high at $6200.

 

For the rest of us, Bitcoin is basically 9 years old. It's a shy little kid - the son of Satoshi Nakamoto. But he is also a brilliant little kid, a genius to be honest. Most people have not noticed little Bitcoin yet. His father, closest family and friends however know that he will do big things when he grows up. He has all ready solved the problem of "double-spending" and decentralized payment and money transfer.

Slowly he is turning into a store of wealth. An asset class or commodity rather than a currency. He could be both, but the markets decide.

On his birthday, Bitcoin celebrates with a market capitalization of $120 Billion, a price per Bitcoin at $6200 and more haters than Vanilla Ice.

Today, only 3 million people use crypto currencies daily. By 2024, this number is expected to exceed 200 million.

And I wouldn't worry about all his brothers and cousins. They only make him stronger. The coming year we will probably see Bitcoin Silver, Bitcoin Bronze, Bitcoin Steel, Bitcoin aluminun, Bitcoin copper, Bitcoin lead, Bitcoin stone, Bitcoin iron, Bitcoin leather, Bitcoin cutton.
