The battle between Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash

in #bitcoin7 years ago

It was all joy and happiness with the BIP91 Segregated Witness, delaying the problems with limited transactions for the network.

Bitcoin Cash on the other hand increases the block size limit eight times.

The difference is in the word "cash". Bitcoin Cash wants Bitcoin to be a pay network - as opposed to the other group that sees bitcoin more as digital Gold.

With only a week until August 1 , there will be a battle between these two, and we will see which one the market has the most confidence in.

It's definitely going to be a volatile ride, and who knows what the outcome will be. Will one knock out the other, or will they co-exist? I'm no expert, so I won't even guess. But I'm sticking to Bitcoin "core". What are you?

Core all the way!

I think Bitcoin really needs to stay together as one coin. For the community to move away from the traditional BTC core model of a gold-like commodity would simply open them up to competition from already well established tokens such as Zcash and Dash. I'm still waiting for LTC to hit a jump

Makes sense! That's exactly like I view Bitcoin. I don't need bitcoin to be able to transact super fast. I want it to be like gold. I can trade bitcoin for other coins that can transact faster, like LTC og bitcoin cash for that matter if in the future it will be normal to trade and pay with crypto currencies. I see not problem with that.
