Why Make An Algorithm?

I see a lot of people on Steem who are trying to predict future trends by drawing doodles on price charts. Inspired by the money their posts bring in...err...I mean...inspired by the quality of these posts, I set out to make a prediction system that is just as sophisticated and accurate. The result: a system that is perhaps even more advanced, as I am able to use the word "algorithm" to describe it (look it up, it technically is an algorithm).

How Does The Algorithm Work

In a stroke of irony, the key to predicting the price of Bitcoin may be to use fiat currency. You take a coin (any coin will do) and flip it. Heads, and the price prediction will be positive; tails, negative.
Some would be satisfied just knowing the direction of the market and a lesser algorithm would stop there. NOT THIS ONE! This algorithm can determine the exact price! (Maybe).

The exact change may be determined by rolling a 6-sided die (d6 for you nerds). The positive/negative value of the coin toss is combined with the number obtained from the die to get the the change in percent. For example: A result of heads and 6 means the price will increase by 6%. (Or not, who knows?)

Summary

Based on the results below, here is what will happen to Bitcoin over the next 3 days:

Bitcoin's month-long downward spiral will end Wednesday as people decide the coin is undervalued. There will be an upward correction resulting in a gain of 6%. This boost to Bitcoin will rally the rest of the market to positive gains.

Unfortunately, this rally will be too good to last. The desire for quick gains will overtake many, causing a 3% tumble on Thursday. Even the staunchest hodlers will begin to doubt if Bitcoin can ever make it to the moon. But wait! There is hope!

Crypto addicts will wake up Friday morning and see that Bitcoin is going to begin to rally again! The spirit of Satoshi himself will compel even the non-believers to buy the dip. All shall rejoice!

Or maybe none of that will happen. After all, no algorithm can predict the future!
