Mt. Gox, Mark Karpeles, and the Japanese Criminal Justice System
Like a lot of others, I heard a lot about the Mt. Gox hack when it happened, and, (I assume), also like a lot of others, I didn't investigate deeply on my own. I never used Mt. Gox, didn't even hold any bitcoins unless I was gambling them on Satoshi Mines.

I've heard this about the Japanese Justice System before, that the country's boasting low crime rates is very possibly due to extreme interrogation and coerced confession - your typical number-fudging enforced with a club. But I don't know!
There certainly are enough reasons to continue to doubt Mr. Karpeles' innocence:
