It is interesting that both Bitcoin Cash (BCC) and Segwit has advantages and disadvantages. BCC will increase node space so that normal user cannot maintain a node due to disk space limitation but provides easier solution. On the other hand, SegWit provides short-time patch to scalability issue with complex rules. There are other several proposals, however, all these are interesting experiments other than politics. Resteemed, such well researched article is appreciated and saves lot of time in research.
Personally, I think the claim that raising the block size will price out nodes is BS. Storage space is dirt cheap, and blockchain history is rarely needed. If it's really a concern, throw it on Amazon glacier and be done with it for what, 40 cents a month?
