It is interesting that both Bitcoin Cash (BCC) and Segwit has advantages and disadvantages. BCC will increase node space so that normal user cannot maintain a node due to disk space limitation but provides easier solution. On the other hand, SegWit provides short-time patch to scalability issue with complex rules. There are other several proposals, however, all these are interesting experiments other than politics. Personally, I think the claim that raising the block size will price out nodes is BS. Storage space is dirt cheap, and blockchain history is rarely needed. If it's really a concern, throw it on Amazon glacier and be done with it for what, 40 cents a month?
