BI Governor : Bitcoin Not a Legitimate Payment Tool!

JAKARTA - Bank Indonesia (BI) appealed to the public to be careful to buy or use Bitcoin or crypto currency. BI also mentioned that Bitcoin is not a valid means of payment so that no violation of the use of the digital currency is expected.
"I must emphasize that BI does not see bitcoin as an official payment tool in Indonesia so all people should know not to use Bitcoin as a means of payment, it means there is a risk," said BI Governor Agus Martowardojo at Bitcoin. complex BI, Jakarta, Thursday (19/10/2017).
