Why are cryptocurrencies no longer growing?

in #bitcoin8 years ago

The simplest reason is because people didn't get rich in the crypto stampede back in November-December 2017. Remember those months?

Every newspaper was talking Bitcoin, every website was talking Bitcoin, every email spammer was spamming the bejeezus out of you with get rich quick scam sham binary schemes….

And Bitcoin went from $5k to $10k to $15k to $20k in a matter of weeks. People were throwing their piggybanks at BTC coz it was gonna make 'em rich. And who doesn't wanna be rich? Without having to work?!?

Aaaaaaaand then it happened. Govts. stepped in coz, well, they can't miss out on that kind of money pie! And the wheels fell off the crypro bus.

And then the unthinkable happened! People actually started looking at these crypto projects. What did they actually do? What did they offer?

What did they bring to the world except whitepapers and roadmaps and websites that all seemed to have been made from identical WordPress templates……?

So as the fever died down, the prices started to go down with it. And people panicked. And sold. For losses. And now all those millions of people are back in their day jobs again. Waiting for the next big thing…..

Cursing their luck they misssed out.,Again.

Regardless, all that mindless, greedy, bandwagon money that was pumped in during the crazy months has now been taken out again.

And we're pretty much left with investors who are actually interested in crypto and what its possibilities are. But that's a big minority.

And coz the majority has departed, so has their money. And thus, the prices of cryptos are down.
