I see many people on Reddit talking about this, worrying about what effect Trump will have on Bitcoin, but I don't really see the point of this debate.

Look, Bitcoin has been going up straight since August, and the election barely moves the price if you look closely:

Bitcoin has been doing fine, before the election and will probably do fine after the election. Look the US has a debt of 20 trillion $ and way bigger unfunded liabilities, so the USD is pretty much in for a rough ride in the future.

If Trump starts to cut some taxes, and increases some spending, especially military, that would be very similar to what Reagan did, and we all know how that turned out:

That stock crash, not to mention the dollar index shrinking more than 22%, so what is good for the stocks, is bad for the currency, it is all based on inflation. So Trump's policies will be no different.

Increased spending in certain sectors, decreasing taxes, that sounds like a huge inflationary bubble ahead, that could plug the gap between the USD and the EUR. I might even buy some more Euros, but I rather just buy BTC.

I am not sure on gold at the moment, that is more complex, but Bitcoin will definitely go up in my opinion. We have now a clear hedge against inflation, that is Bitcoin. The Chinese BTC volume is astounding, and the Chinese are switching their worthless yuans into USD, but probably not for much longer after the USD starts to decline. It will be the era of Bitcoin!

Bitcoin is a good hedge against anything not-bitcoin. So I don't think we have any worries one way or another. :)

Its a good hedge against inflation and bank mischiefs, remember the 2013 rally happened when the Cyprus banks started stealing money from their customers.

Interesting post
Time will tell

I don't think Donald Trump will have a long term impact on Bitcoin

Not Trump himself but his policies. If he does the things he promised, the economy will reflect that, and since the USD is the second most used currency for BTC transfers, it should affect it's price too.
