BREAKING NEWS: Roger Ver and ViaBTC agreed to Segwit!
There is nothing stopping Segwit now from activating. Roger Ver, a strong opposer, and ViaBTC a Bitcoin Unlimited supporter, has just announced that they would agree to the Segregated Witness implementation.
There is no opposition anymore, they have finally come to their senses. We should not fight, we need to unite. This news was confirmed here:

You can always start up your own Bitcoin Core node, running the latest 0.13.1 version, if you want to speed the transition up!
Bitcoin is now finally free of obstacles and ready to go to the stars! I am holding now strongly, we will all be rich if this goes well!

I just listened to Trace Mayer on the subject:
I think bitcoin will grow up and up.
From my own opinion, I think segwit will be bitcoins undoing.
Let's see in a couple years if I can look back at this comment and see what happened.
The new is NOT confirmed in the reddit thread, it is not confirmed and its far more likely Ver will block segwit and anything he has the power to except verCoin

Omg. I think I have to mute this channel of information for the shoddy quality of the articles. The conclusion of this article is simply fantasy. No such agreement exists.
