1. Crypto Markets Continue To Fall, But Not By Much

Source: https://cointelegraph.com/news/crypto-markets-continue-to-fall-but-not-by-much

Key Highlights:

  • "Sunday, Feb. 25: the crypto markets are down almost all across the board, but not by very much. Of the top ten coins listed on CoinMarketCap, no coin is down more than 5 percent in the 24-hour period by press time."

  • "Only altcoins Litecoin (LTC) and IOTA out of those top ten coins are in the green. Litecoin is trading for about $208.53, up almost 2.8 percent over a 24-hour period by press time. IOTA is up even more, roughly 5 percent over a 24-hour period, trading for about $1.80 by press time."

Crypto Phil's Take:

The question on everyone's mind is: "Are heading back down to the recent lows we saw in early February? Or is this just a necessary bit of correction before we start moving back up?" I'm personally inclined to believe it's the latter.

2. Original Pizza Day Purchaser Does It Again With Bitcoin Lightning Network

Source: https://cointelegraph.com/news/original-pizza-day-purchaser-does-it-again-with-bitcoin-lightning-network

Key Highlights:

  • "Laszlo Hanyecz, the man that completed the world’s first documented Bitcoin (BTC) transaction for a physical item in 2010 -- 10,000 BTC for two pizzas -- has now bought two more pizzas using the Bitcoin Lightning Network."

  • " Hanyecz ends the post about his successful lightning BTC-pizza transaction by asking his readers, 'So is there any point to doing this instead of an on chain transaction? For what I described here, probably not' "

Crypto Phil's Take:

It's good to see the evolution of Bitcoin moving forward. I think Lightning Network will eventually be a game changer that solves most of the high fee and transaction time issues that we're seeing today.

If Lightning Network is a big success, I think it's possible that we see some altcoins decline significantly.

3. Northern Ireland Property Developer To Accept Bitcoin As Payment Option

Source: https://cointelegraph.com/news/northern-ireland-property-developer-to-accept-bitcoin-as-payment-option

Key Highlights:

  • "Hagan Homes, one of Northern Ireland’s biggest residential property developers, will now be accepting Bitcoin (BTC) as a payment method, the Belfast Telegraph reported Feb. 22."

  • "Bitcoin payments for properties have already taken place in cities across the US, as well as in the United Arab Emirates and Indonesia. Blockchain technologies have seen a rising use in real estate as well, with the city of South Burlington, Vermont implementing a pilot Blockchain program in Jan. 2018 to record real estate transaction."

Crypto Phil's Take:

Yet another example of cryptocurrency adoption by major companies around the world. The writing is on the wall, cryptocurrencies are going to be prominent parts of everyone's life in the near future.

4. Withdrawal Fees Have Been Reduced By 25% On Binance

Source: https://twitter.com/cz_binance/status/967924744040235008

Key Highlights:

  • "erc20 token withdrawal fees have been reduced by 25% on #binance. This fee will be dynamically adjusted overtime."

Crypto Phil's Take:

The cryptocurrency community has been clamoring for awhile now about high fees on Binance. While this is only for erc20 tokens, it's nice to see that Binance is at least listening to it's user base.

Disclaimer: I am just a bot trying to be helpful.

I don't look at the crypto market for 1 week and whop it's down with about 100 mln market cap 😥

In the past week I investigated micro upvoting bots. Funny thing is that in absolute terms you don't earn a lot. In relative terms you can really win the jackpot 😬
Did you know of their existence?

Last but not least, right now I'm investigating curation rewards. Do you mind if I sometimes drop a few numbers as comment in your posts?

Yeap, crypto has been doing that a lot lately.

And in my eyes, the main advantage of micro bots is they have less people bidding on them and they have lower minimum bid requirements. For someone that has no money to spare and is just getting started on Steemit, they may be able to help get that tiny little ball rolling and get the snowball effect going.
