PROOF THE GOVERNMENT IS SCARED OF BITCOIN TECHNOLOGY !
In an interview not long ago Obama states "its like having a Swiss bank account in your pocket", because banks have no control over what you can do with Bitcoin . As well as the other decentralized Cryptocurrencies similar to Bitcoin. This means no more central banks coming in and controlling your money or even your life !

You'll notice how he only speaks about how this will negatively effect us. He takes the typical government officiated approach and doesn't state the overwhelming positive things Bitcoin offers the World as a whole !

Of course they should be worries, why us can save themselves after 2008? Because they print money, so what someone who has great idea and great it skills who can print digital currency which later exchange as usd? This mean us government ability to print usd is reduced and this is bad for them.
Nice post- I do believe there is an element of truth to what Obama says with regards to crime, however, cryptography is nothing new- it hasn't been developed over night, only applied to a new area of expertise. I still think it's too early for the government to be afraid, but I'd like to hear Obama's thought on cryptocurrency rather than a generic umbrella of 'encrypted data'.
