Do note that one shouldn't see cryptocurrency as just an investment vehicle. Emphasis shouldnt be on the value of the cryptocurrency but rather the application is can be used for. Examples could be interbank payments and money remittance for foreign workers
That should be the main focus rather than Bitcoin or Ether going up in value
