Someone randomly send me 74 bitcoins (which is a lot in USD) what am I suppose to do. I would prefer to return in to it's original owner to avoid any bad karma. Who knows who that person could be. Should I contact the police. I'm a bit scared to be honest.

I'm the guy

Good for you, but depending on where they got/saw your address, someone might be trying to launder it...and they may not be able to receive it back at the original address it was sent from, anyway.

Hold onto it until someone contacts you, I would say. Don't try to cash it out. That way if law enforcement sees it and gets ahold of you, you can provide them with contact details from whoever is looking for it. It certainly sounds suspicious and like someone is trying to take advantage of your goodwill somehow to launder it.

You can send it back to the sender. Go on You Tube and look up videos on how to send back Bitcoin. The right thing to do is to return it as you stated. Good for you

Alright, that is what I should do. Is there anyway I can get in contact with him or something to make sure he just needed to get rid of them for some reason (wild I know) but in this crypto world anything can go wrong. I mean isn't it pretty hard to mess up a bitcoin address? Also how would he get my address in the first place?

No, in fact it is really easy to mess up a Bitcoin address. I lost $10,000.00 of Bitcoin in January sending it to a wrong address. All it took was putting an i instead of an I

Send it to me I'll cash it and we can split it 50/50 while I'll take all the risk !!!
