I think I need to gloss over this one lightly. As I'm struggling to get a grasp of some basic indicators, adding log functionality might be basic, but not for me. From your comments, it seems that linear is usually sufficient for you; otherwise you would not have been surprised by someone else pointing it out to you. For you, it's data that gives you another point of view. For me, it's more analytics that can push me deeper into paralysis by analysis.
