First tech is not always the best, just ask myspace lol. Ethereum was a new concept/platform on the foundation bitcoin created much like Steem. I think a platform that is being used and backed by currency will have more value than just currency. Bitcoin and other currency only blockchain tech will become the gold, silver and bonds of the crypto market while Ethereum, Steem, etc. will be the hot stocks... although there is a supply problem with bitcoin so you may have a point.
