Researchers say behavior-based and cloud-based machine learning models in Windows Defender are detecting trojan attacks in the first instance. According to the Windows Defender team, malicious software called Dofoil, which is used for the attack, tried not to enter the explorer.exe process of the operating system and to add malicious code.

Later, the software added explorer self-crypto money mining program secretly downloaded and tried to run. Anti virus software detected and blocked these attempts when running from a different location on the hard drive.

Malicious software is programmed for the mining of the Electroneum crypto money. According to the Electroneum website, application-based mobile mining is used.
