Sorry to hear that.
But one thing I learned from the whole Mt.Gox catastrophe (was just watching from the sidelines back then since I wasn't able to create an accout for whatever software reasons. Lucky me!) was the importance of ALWAYS storing your stuff outside of online-wallets, no matter what they claim. Especially if it's your "life-savings", always put something aside and only park the amount you really need for liquidity reasons there.
The same with cash-deposits/banking accounts or similar.

Yeah, doesn't help you a lot now, I know.
