My Insatiable Quest for Cyptocurrencies

If there is one thing Nigerians are known for its their ability to breakthrough anything. Their ruggedness and their resolve to succeed despite bad governannce and failing economy.

Since i lost my first bitcon wallet address and every means to retrieve it (mobile number, email address, internet access) in 2010, and the mega jackpot bitcon holders had during the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic, i decided to jump back on the cryptotrain when Bitcoin hit 19m Naira and before a few months it was almost 60m Naira to a Bitcoin.

Everyone jumped onboard, the government began to seize people's assets, froze the accounts of young Nigerians who had more than 12m Naira in their account over night and jailed a few of them for fraud and other financial crimes.

The Govenment did mot understand the Blockchan Technology nor where they willing to have someone young and experience tech them, or maybe they didn't see a future for the blockchain industry and eapecially bitcoin since our crude oil is all they cared about.

But the jackpot was shot lived, bitcoin was fought by many Central Banks and eventually there was a sharp drop to about 12m to a bitcoin, many big boys who bought expensive cars worth 40-60m Naira couldnt get buyers to buy it at 12m they lost everything.

We love money rain in this country, your party is not complete without it. And the BTC boyz as they were fundly called (the average ages were between 14-18years), were the center of attraction.

If money must rain, BTC boyz must show up!

I am 42 married with kids and huge responsibilities and do not known where to start. So i decided to ask Google. By this time china has developed hundreds of mining apps that would make you watch ads as smartcontracts, you will play endless games and help them increase ther hashing rates but they will never cut you in.

I have downloaded countless games, won 3 bitcoins or 2bitcoins and when i cash out they would as watch 30 videos to cashout instantly, after you waste your time and date watching ads, the new task is nto watch another 100 videos 😊. They know we are despirate, they are also despirate to mine the next block and they need you to help them boost their hashing rate by all means.

I have downloaded cyptobrowsers, bought boosters, played slot games, shooting games, card games etc just to own 1 bitcoin and better my life.

The next thing I did was to reserch for mining rigs. I downloaded a number of them, tried to mine but whith my hash rate it would take forever to mine 0.02 bitcoins. When i see the leading zeros on my miner, i just knew this Isn't for me.

My quest is far from over, the postive hunger has made me know that the best way forward is via DApps.

While i contribute to the growth of the blockchain ecosystem, i am on my drawing table drafting the next big thing!
