RE: Crypto 101 | Andreas Antonopoulous VIDEO: ( 6 mins ) -- Bitcoin Q&A: Secure, tiered storage system - Super Practical Resource Here Today!! (Library of Videos inside post also)
great collection! Antonopoulos is a teacher, preacher and evangelist for crypto, good to have him aside. The security topic is one of the most important in my opinion. If companies solve that in convenient way for the masses it is like breaking a huge wall who hold them back. If i think of all the freakadility of wallets today.. it needs much more to get grandpa next door involved.
Therefore i like projects like Bread, Pundi X, TenX who use familiar devices and things to build a bridge between physical and crypto world in a safe and convenient way. They are the pioneers for true mass adoption.
Hey buddy
I think last week I read on the Exodus blog for support -- you can actually store your tokens there.
I know you are a fan. I remember these things LOL
Yeah, i had them in mind and their UI is great and have now many more tokens! But i didn't used their wallet for months now because of the preset high fees for fast transactions with Bitcoin. My last action was to claim a tiny amount of Bitcoin Cash to understand how it works with forks. Currently i used mostly Nano Ledger and MEW.
The second thing is, it's still software which is still freaky for regular people who are not familiar with the topic at all. I think to get many people in, it must be fully integrated in typical allday situations like if you are licking on an ice cone and the merchant asks you kindly if he can balance your account with your card in Bitcoin, no hassle.. easy-peasy like any money or you can use NFC without a touch.
Recently i saw a really great study, maybe Fraunhofer (lost link) which showed a shop fully touchless, seamless integrated with digital currency. They tracked your eyes to augmented with all necessary information about a product you watched in the store and then you could buy it immediately without merchant and checkout, absolutely seemlessly integrated technology. It worked smooth like a breeze.. i said to myself "That's the future!". Nowadays there are far too many interfaces between us and our physical world which block adoption. The physical world is not prepared yet, because getting real with changes is against our habits. Cards, smartphones, panels are still necessary to interact.
Thank you for discussion Barry! Currently it's a rare occasion to get real interest!
I blogged y-day on the MEW competitor actually -- MyCrypto partnering with Shapeshift.
I am also pretty sure one of the Ex. wallet updates now allows you to go in, and change the fees.
I could be wrong, so much info daily ........ but if that is what I remember, it was done not long ago and you can easily scroll quickly thru the release updates here and look for that. They lay out info really well.
