Perhaps bitcoin (and hence likely most other cryptocurrency) miners will naturally evolve towards inhabiting Earth's polar extremes ... Consistently low temperatures (fit for cooling miners and servers), high winds, low cost of wind turbines ...
Somewhat more sustainable than what we have now in a fossil fuel based economy...
