CME group launches bitcoin futures.
CME Group which previously announced its plans to introduce bitcoin futures till the end of the year, today specified that it has self-certified the initial listing of its bitcoin futures contract and it will be launched on Monday, 18th of December.
The new futures contract will be listed according to the rules of CME. It will be available for trading on the CME Global electronic trading platform. CME futures contract will be cash-settled and will not require the custody of the underlying asset.
