Hello, I am one of the people you are asking about. I make more than enough to quit my job. Here are my top three opinions.
- Get a great passive income stream, and do a ton of research. (do this for 6 months to a year)
- Find a coin or two you like, learn everything about it and use it for what it was meant for. (example steem)
- Find great ICO's you are interested in. ( find people who are great at choosing ICO's do this after a year in crypto)
I have been in crypto for 15 months and I am a bit obsessed with research. You have to do your own research and find people who are already where you want to be. Hope this helps!
Thanks for the tips. It's much appreciated. I think the hard thing is not getting caught up in the hype coins that are pumped and dumped. Like Tron, Verge, Ripple.
I've only participated in one ICO and that was WAX tokens. I'll have to have a look into some more.
I agree your own research is better than just listening to what the next "hot coin" will be from word of mouth.
