Am I the only one finding it impossible to get hold of my BCC/BCH?
I have now been researching this for 24 hours, and I am no closer to the solution. And I gather many are in the same position.
Disclaimer - while I am a BTC holder and very much in love with disruptive technologies (I am after all an anti-neolib lefty), I hold only a basic understanding of coding thus I understand the technology only superficially. Nevertheless I feel I am not clueless so bear with me... I might be missing something here.
I, like many others, placed the bulk of my BTC in cold storage prior to the fork. I chose Exodus as hardware wallets were sold out or extremely overpriced due to poor supply.
Now I am trying to get hold of my BCC/BCH and I can't for the life of me, find a stable wallet that will support private key import. Electron remains unstable, BTC.com does not appear to support import, and the rest look like they require you to download a partial or full node. Though admittedly I might be misinterpreting things.
Everywhere I go all I read is that you will be able to claim from the 'official BCC client'... but who the hell is that? https://www.bitcoincash.org/ seems to offer the options above and no other wallet that I am aware of will support BCC.
Please help steemers! The FOMO is killing me, and in the process, we might be able to help a few people desperately typing 'How to claim my BCC' on Google....
Thanks in advance from a desperate semi-noob!

Using Electron Cash select Wallet -> Private Keys -> Sweep from the menu.
Then enter your Bitcoin private keys. Obviously these keys would need to have a balance at the time of the split.
Finally click 'Sweep' and your Bitcoin Cash balance will appear shortly. You will receive a Bitcoin Cash amount equivalent to the Bitcoin balance at the time of the split.
I know this, unfortunately this leaves my BTC open to a possible replay attack and Electron comes with a huge disclaimer to that effect> I would have hoped that the team behind $BCH $BCC would be a bit more prepared than this!
To prevent the possibility of a replay attack on your Bitcoin, move your BTC to another wallet before claiming your Bitcoin Cash. You can still use the pre-split private key to claim Bitcoin Cash.
Thanks @flowfeed. This is what I did in the end, to much dissapointment since I liked Exodus as a wallet and struggled to find something I would trust enough to put my (considerable) funds in. I resorted to an encrypted USB with a paper wallet on a clean laptop. It was nerve-wracking though. I am pleased to say I now have my $BCH, however no exchange was still accepting deposits yesterday, so sadly, I missed the opportunity while it was up. Now to wait for someone to accept deposits and for the next pump.... if there is ever one, I remain hopeful.
