Bitcoin hits a new all-time high of $17,000

Bitcoin crossed the $12000 mark on 6 Dec, a week after it crossed the $10000 mark. The cryptocurrency tried to break out of the $12k block by registering a $12,810.22 high but unable to touch the $13000 mark. But it didn't stop the next day as it reached $13k and on 8th Dec crossed the $17k mark with an all-time high of $17,153.94.

As I type this Bitcoin stands at $15,031 and as always is fluctuating like a bobblehead on a speeding car. While companies like Microsoft and Expedia are accepting Bitcoin payments, others are not so much into it yet like Amazon. Though, Amazon bought a whole lot of domains with its name and associated cryptocurrencies like amazonbitcoin.com etc., there are no plans the giant will be accepting the anytime soon.

Bitcoin is soaring every day, jumping $2000 in a day and then sometimes falling $1500 down but in the end it shows progress each time, every day. I want to invest in them but I want to wait a little to see if it falls down but if it doesn't, I'll be kicking myself.

Yesterday, Bitcoin touched $16000 and only 10 minutes after that it was $16241. That's a big jump in 10 minutes. If a human were to earn this much it would be $1446/hr or $10,122 a day, at that rate. Here's my tweet at that time https://twitter.com/karankashyap/status/938805413981569025
