Bitcoin Price Breaks New All-Time High, Reaching $2911 USD

The Bitcoin price earlier broke to a new all-time high, reaching $2911 USD before falling at press time to $2880, according to CoinDesk’s Bitcoin Price Index — a rise from it’s opening of $2569.23 at the beginning of the day, June 5th.
Bitcoin has seen a meteoric rise this year with the BPI showing it opening the month at $2350, the year at under $1000, and enjoying a year to date rise of nearly $2300, from $598.
