The hash war ended after a week

ABC could add replay protection

The split now is official, Bitcoin SV and Bitcoin Cash are to be separated blockchains.

The market will decide

According to a tweet by C.S. Wright, of the Bitcoin Satoshi's Vision {BSV} side of the hash war, Coingeek's C. Ayer adviced him to go for a split. What would mean the BSV camp would let Bitcoin Cash {BCH} add a so called replay protection to its code. This may come to some as quite a surprise, even to those who supported BSV in the hash war it started. So far though this 'war' severly damaged the trust in Cryptos and caused an extreme market crash.

At some point the BSV side must have been starting to cut into their own flesh. To me it was a kind of surprising to see C.S. Wright send out a Tweet that the BSV side mined Bitcoin for a bit. It was apparantly needed to have some BTC to finance some hashing mining power with. It seemed that there were no millions to waste on the 'war'...!? And next the peace offer as suggested by C. Ayre, and C.S. Wright accepting this as a wise advice, to let the market decide.

The BCH side would be acting weird if they would now refuse to add replay protection to its code. As the BSV camp basicly stated it will let it be as it is. Bitcoin Satoshi's Vision {BSV} will split off and move forward on its own substantive blockchain. While already the claim is out that BSV is as Bitcoin was ment to be. So I do wonder when they are going to remove the difficulty adjustment algorithm {daa} from its sourcecode. But my guess is there will be a whitepaper reason found to keep it in.

Where to go from here?

Well, it seems there was a split after all. Like many stated, just like me, it would be. Two substantive blockchains each claiming to be the real one true to the Bitcoin whitepaper. While I still consider BTC to be the one and only real one, there is now another competitor BSV. Going for 128MB {Megabyte} sized blocks and calling out to businesses to join in. BCH will now move on in its own direction.

Back to business as usual. Where BCH and BSV soon can be used safely, each as unique Cryptos. Deposits and withdrawels soon will be possible again, if the BCH developers are willing and able to add replay protection to its code. Yet, it seems very probable it will be done soon. And after that the situation will become more clear. Will the Crypto market recover? That is the biggest question in my mind. Will people trust Cryptos again? And who wins the market adoption, BCH or BSV? Well, I frankly could not care less. Some slow recovery signs would be nice now...

May the Cryptos be with us.
