Young Crypto Millionaire Erik Finman Predicts that Bitcoin is Dead in the Long Term
Young crypto millionaire Erik Finman has stated that the leading cryptocurrency Bitcoin (BTC) may experience one or two bull market, but noted that on the long run, Bitcoin is dead.
Gaining popularity from investing in Bitcoin in 2011 when he was only 12 years, Finman has become a celebrity in the crypto space today. According to reports, the teen crypto millionaire had in 2011 bought a $1000 worth of bitcoin when it was only $12 a coin. With the bull run in 2017, his investment grew to a whopping $4 million dollar, hence, making him one of the youngest crypto millionaire. That’s not all, Finman was also reported to have won a bet with his parents that if he became a crypto millionaire before he turned 18, he would be allowed to ditch college.
Speaking in an interview with MarketWatch, the young crypto millionaire remarked that, “Bitcoin is dead, it’s too fragmented, there’s tons of infighting I just don’t think it will last.” He also spoke about the future of litecoin:
“Litecoin has been dead for awhile. It’s like when the sun is going down and there’s that eight minute period just before it goes dark. Litecoin is in its seventh minute.”
When asked to comment on other crypto projects, Finman expressed optimism regarding ethereum and anonymity-oriented token Zcash (ZEC). More so, he also applauded the Bitcoin Cash (Cash projects),stating that he believed in the coin’s technology.
Taking a swipe at what he referred to as “the hooks and lobbyists” of Wall Street; Finman said “I’m better at this kind of stuff than those millionaires. [...] They don’t know how to work the system, they’re nerds. I’m more than that.”
Finman has been in the spot light since earning a fortune from the crypto industry. Earlier reports suggest that Finman had once travel to Mexico to stash away the hard disk holding the private keys to his crypto wallets. He has also revealed that he plans to buy a Lamborghini with a customized license plate that corresponds with his average grade point in high school even though he did not graduate.
