The monkey in your picture is actually an ape. Maybe I'm an asshole for pointing that out, but chimpanzees are our closest living relative. 99% of our genome is shared with chimps. Actually, we are more closely related to chimps than chimps are to gorillas. Your point is cool though. We are part of some sort of super organism much like ants and bees.
