RE: Warning Helix Phishing Scam!! Do Not Use Helix.us To Tumble Your Coins!!

in #bitcoin7 years ago (edited)

So, moral of the story: you clicked on a youtube link and were redirected to a phishing site. There it is, first thing you never do, click on a link on youtube...they are 99% scams
Also instead of getting the official onion link from Reddit (another source of successful scams) go to grams search engine on tor and helix is right there.

Read the post, I didn't click on anything and was not redirected anywhere. My friend got they address from a youtube video, he didnt click on the link, he copy/pasted the link which brought him to helixlight.us. helix.us is just an exact copy of the onion site, it doesnt have to redirect to a different site . He was suspicious about the link not being an onion address so he did a google search and the first few results that popped up for helixlight where they helixlight.us site so it appeared to be the legit site.

Yes i read your post! then moral of the story, you copied pasted a link from youtube and were taken to a phishing site, wording changes, result is the same...what I mean is that 99% of tutos, links etc on youtube are scams, you just proved it to yourself. Stay safe! You could have done your search on Grams, which by default shows the Helix site on their frontpage. Just saying, there is no need to get mad at others...but that[s the luck for noobs exploring the DNM´s..

Not a nub, been a vendor since the first silkroad, was a friend of mine. Just trying to spread the word that if you google helix coin tumbler or helix light the first results you get are phishing sites and a lot of people, thousands, are falling for it so i wanted to make people aware.
