Trading bots and APIs

So with the worry on my mind and so many others, is a possible solution to limit, or even stop trading bots and the trading aspects of exchange APIs? I use a basic apiece to import trades from poloniex to my cointracking.

Do any of you use these bots and could reducing there usage change the lag and server issues of exchanges. Obviously DDoS doesn't help.

Any thoughts?

    Bots are an important part of the market dynamics. Without them, you may find that liquidity could be an issue...
