Turn-based RPG boss sold for $22.800
The most valuable consumer-owned NFT-asset in the upcoming cyberpunk role playing game Neon District has been sold for $22.800. Blockchain-specialist Alex Amsel bought the 'season 0 Baus' for 141 ETH. Amsel will be able to co-operate with Blockade Games and add features to the boss-character.
The owner of Baus will be able to add unique dialog or enable usage in future PVP matches. All kinds of mechanics are also open for adjustments, including its power and gameplay mechanics, color scheme, background music, attributes and other graphical changes.
Neon District has launched its Founder's Sale in order to finance the game's development. Blockade Games has accumulated more than 507 ETH. This is $88.793, calculated against current rates. Currently the game's development is still an on-going process. According to the official website it's finished for 64 percent.
Neon District is a cyberpunk turn-based role playing game where blockchain and traditional gameplay are seamlessly merged. Neon District is a multi-platform game currently being developed for desktop, console, and Nintendo Switch.
Gameplay in Neon District is unique from traditional video games because each player truly owns their characters and assets, independent of the game. This creates a new item-first dynamic in which the player’s assets gain value through gameplay by adding specialized equipment, taking on special abilities, and adding character specific enhancements.
In Neon District, characters record their history of wins and losses on a blockchain. When a player wants to, they can transfer their assets in-app to the Ethereum mainnet to sell and purchase items on Neon District’s peer-to-peer marketplace. Players will not need to own any Ethereum to experience the gameplay.
