Japan's Airline to Accept Bitcoin as Payment
Peach Aviation, Japan's largest low-cost airline, has announced that it will start to accept Bitcoin for airline tickets. They had planned to start this a by the end of 2017 but due Coincheck hack the plas were postponed.
Peach Aviation in partnership with Japanese exchange Bitpoint Japan, plan to accept Bitcoin. This initiative can see the light of day as soon as before the end of 2018.
“We want to encourage visitors from overseas and the revitalization of Japan’s regions,” Shinichi Inoue, chief executive officer of Peach has said last year in May. “This is a real first step in partnerships for Japan and we are aiming for more company and service tie-ups.”

Meanwhile Bitpoint has said that they are working diligently to realize this service.
With major World Economies having a somewhat mixed opinion about Bitcoin and cryptos in general, this could be a big move forward to encourage other companies to adopt Bitcoin as well.
