Cryptocurrencies: Last Week Tonight with John Oliver (HBO) - Bitcoin
I watched this very, very early this morning. Sometimes John Oliver gets things right and even when he doesn't (which is probably more than half of the time) he is still funny to watch. He could probably advocate repealment of the 1st Amendment and still sound funny (even though it's not funny, at all).
At any rate, I was surprised that he had a somewhat levelheaded grasp on, or understanding of, cryptocurrency. Although I think he may have spoken a bit harshly on EOS.

Aside from Bitcoin he also discussed other coins such as, though not limited to, the following:

Oliver also discusses related topics such as, though not limited to, the following:
(5) Scalability (he mentioned that [North American] Bitcoin conference in Miami had to stop accepting bitcoin payments for tickets
(6) ICO - initial coins offerings and the gimongous amounts of money they've made in very short periods of times (e.g., To raise over a billion dollars it took Facebook 7 years, Uber 5 years and EOS 9 months.).
(7) pump & dumps - groups and even businesses which charge to perform these pumps
(8) utility tokens vs equity tokens (Oliver didn't use those exact words)
(9) FOMO, FUD, HODL and one that they coined - CRAEFUL (be careful!)

Considering all the easy targets in crypto he could have went at, I think he did a good job in staying balanced and sicking to the main theme of #Craefulgang which is so important!

John Oliver is hilarious and he does know quite a bit about crypto; EOS joke was a little off though. I like the craefulgang parody of hodlgang, a tune I really like- I think I even made a post of that song a few fridays ago posting the youtube video. Overall, John Oliver made my day with this take on cryptos :)
