Bittrex Phishing Scam tops Google Search Results
Due to increasing demand and value these days, scammers are also find new ways to scam. Previously I had posted about the phishing website of Bittrex which was similar to original website.
Now the next development is that when user searches Bittrex in Google, phishing Bittrex scam website tops the Google search results making users to believe that it is original Bittrex website. It helps scammers to easily steal login information of users Bittrex account. This attack method is become popular these days.
This phishing website is bittrex.ltd and is coming on top of search results as sponsored ad.
This domain is exactly similar to original website however if we open it and look closer to URL address, it is bilttrex.com.
This ad is not showing to every user depending upon region and Google has also taking action against this scam.
Bittrex original website has also updated its security and now it is mandatory for every user to enable 2-factor Authentication for login, which is a nice step.
