I hear you. That was me too and here I've been a software engineer my whole adult life but for me the wallet size just didn't make sense and now with transaction times going up and up. I think you're right about the altavista comparison. Bitcoin is like the reserve crypto of the world. But another could take its place. Or it will be fixed. Or there is nothing wrong with it and I'm totally wrong once again ;) As far as calling things a scam or even telling others not to do something I'm giving that up. I know nothing ;) Anything could happen. My calling something a "scam" could result in someone missing the opportunity of their lifetime. You never know.
