Meet our advisor: Mr. Roel Wolfert
We are happy to introduce you the experienced MicroMoney’s advisor Roel Wolfert. He is famous in fintech world as COO and founder of Qoin, and the professional advisor for successful token campaigns such as KickICO and Bancor (with its $153 million raised during the campaign).
Mr. Wolfert shares his skills and knowledge of 20 years of international experience on the edge of business and technology in retail and transactional banking, payments and bank cards, retailing, management consulting, IT and venture capital. He truly follows his life mission, creating and optimising value for MicroMoney.
He devoted a lot of time to education in governance, management, banking and financial support services, business economics. Mr. Wolfert has an master’s degree in economics from Maastricht University and an executive degree in innovation from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley.
Started his career as a business consultant of Gap Gemini, he worked with banking transaction, strategy and business cases, product and project management for clients like ABN AMRO, ING, and MeesPierson. He had two years as the manager of professional services in Anachron, where he had been responsible for account management, pre-sales and customers’ projects, and worked with TNT, Philips, Equens, ABN AMRO, Achmea, and ING.
As business development director of Logica, Mr. Roel Wolfert performed a variety of roles for six years in sales, marketing, and product management and worked in Australia, Middle East, North America, UK, Scandinavia, and BeNeLux countries. In 2008 he took the post of group director for transaction banking and payments in Logica along with significant responsibilities from sales to delivery to all countries and units. In 2010 Mr. Wolfert became the head of strategy and marketing global financial services of Logica, where reset global financial services strategy, redefined strategic service/solution portfolio, delivered a revised Go-to-market approach, and build €800 mln worth of new sales pipeline.
Mr. Wolfert was managing partner in Value Innovation Leadership for three years.
He also worked in Visa Europe as the Senior Vice President of consulting and analytics services, and had been responsible for client consulting and analytics. He doubled the consulting and analytics business, drove Big Data strategy and introduction of Mobile and Contactless in Europe. Since 2014 he was a co-founder and managing partner of VGRIP.
Mr. Roel Wolfert wrote many books and articles about business transformation and value management. Mr. Wolfert speaks four languages — Dutch, English, French, and German. He is engaged in volunteer work, supporting entrepreneurs in their challenges to start, grow and accelerate their business. He gives lectures on business case management, value management, value planning and realization as a guest lecturer in HZ University of Applied Sciences.
