I did mining on NiceHash to see what mining was all about. It wasn't very profitable. In a week I made about $5 using my GPU. But I had to be conscious of keeping my computer running all day and evening, even when I wasn't using it. I felt like I was going to wear out the other parts of my computer which was worth more than the little I was making from mining.

Then NiceHash got hacked and that totally ended my mining experiment.
