U.S. Marshals To Hold Bitcoin Auction For $50 Million Worth Of Cryptocurrency

Silk Road Bitcoin Auction – The United State Marshals Service has just announced that four winners will split the last set of bitcoins seized from Silk Road in December 2014. The Marshals seized 50,000 bitcoins at the time. The first bitcoin auction was held in July 2014. The first auction received 186 bids from 42 bidders. The number totaled 30,000 bitcoins.
