New bitcoin code will eventually provide full SegWit support
Segregated witness (SegWit) is special.
It should not be seen as the change in bitcoin code is focused on scaling the network, or as potentially opening a new layer for faster and cheaper technology.
After months of discussion, the new version encourages developers to create a more structured “themed” version for the software. This software seems to be an unusual development for the team behind the world's oldest and most valuable Crypto money network.
When Bitcoin core went to update in the crypto money code, volunteer developers with amateur spirit spent most of their time bringing together independent optimizations. However, the release of this new code, The sixth “big release” since the start of bitcoin, is slightly different from 0.16.0.
The updates that will be available in the coming days include a version that focuses on making it easier to send transactions in Segwit's style from the default Wallet of most software. Although segwit's first software release is intended to enable the network to understand new rules, 0.16.0 is more relevant than allowing users to take advantage of it.
Bitcoin core supporter Andrew Chow Coindesk said::
The primary change is the addition of Segwit into the wallet. This will allow users to easily generate segwit addresses.
The abundance of the new version
Chow announced that the new version's features have been added to both the command line and the wallet user interface for this purpose. Thus, both programmers and non-programmers users will be able to use it easily. Although it is possible to create segwit addresses in previous wallet versions, Marco Falke, a core supporter of Chaincode Lab engineers and Bitcoin, noted that the process was “quite dirty” and “mostly hidden”. However, with the new software version, Segwit's addresses will be the default. This means that the new addresses will be automatically aligned with the scaling feature.
Version 0.16.0 is also the first version to support “independent segwit addresses”, which is more user-friendly than older address types, and is also the new address format pioneered by Pieter Wuille and Greg Maxwell, which supports Segwit automatically.
According to Falk,
“This is the most exciting part of publishing.”
when the version addresses are created automatically, wallet users are expected to receive a lower fee soon. And the new version can offer greater advantages. Bitcoin core launched Segwit in November 2016. Then the war led some software users to support a completely non-cooperative rival Crypto money.(for example, they argue that Crypto money, like Bitcoin cash, is the key to low wages.)
Another advantage of the native segwit address format, according to Chow, is that the fees are slightly lower. However, since the format is very new, most of the wallets agree that they do not support it at this time. Chow added that other published tracks give users more flexibility on the Bitcoin core wallet. For example, users can store their wallet or private keys in another data directory. The more technical thinkers can look at the release notes for more details.
Segwit comes in long-term
updating the Code of a global software program may not be a quick process. Because some of the main companies are very complacent about this. Given this user expectation and impatience, many may be surprised that Bitcoin Core has taken too long to add support for the type of transaction in the wallet. However, developers say there are several reasons for the delay.
Chow said he wanted to see How Segwit works on the network before supporting it, particularly in the event of vulnerabilities or other concerns. Secondly, the policy pursued was very distracting.
I don't know what to learn.
No. You can't speak in French correctly.
