Russia plunged into a frenzy of mining and investors are already buying power plants to run mining equipment.

According to local media reports, Aleksey Kolesnik, a Russian businessman, has confirmed that it will buy two power plants for digital currency mining. The two power plants, located in Perm and Udmurt respectively, will be refurbished into data centers and mines.

The purchase of these two power stations cost Kolesnik about $ 3 million - but it is not yet clear when he will start mining.

The feasibility of this project and its future development are in the hands of the Russian government. The government has made some progress in the regulation of digital currencies.
In addition, Putin proposed the issuance of a transnational digital currency that could be used between BRICS and member states of the European Economic Organization (EEU).

Russia is expected to monitor and legalize digital currency transactions by July of this year, with both taxes and duties required for mining and trading.
