Crypto as an investment can not be overhyped.

Any investment can and will lose value. Everything is relative and no stock/commodity/currency or fund moves upward in a straight line.Bitcoin spent 3 years beaten down by Gox, bad press and bearwhales looking to hoard. But it rose again, the price is simply a reflection of Bitcoin's utility as a medium of exchange. Daytrading and speculating is a form of exchange so is buying just to hodl forever. So is using a Bitcoin debit card. There is more than one way to Bitcoin... So is earning Bitcoin through Steemit... etc.... If Bitcoin could be stopped it would have been by now. It is not a question of if crypto is the future it is what kind of a crypto future do we want to make.

Do we let India get away with their "war on cash" and all things valuable. They are confiscating peoples Jewlery even. Do we watch as China manipulates its way through world markets, second only to USA driven manipulation... Silver/Gold mines are actually suing over the manipulation in gold/silver paper markets. Do we let them use Bitcoin as an excuse to finally "kill cash"..Fiat never did anything wrong. We are the ones who took Fiat off the gold standard. We are the ones who watch as the FED prints money backed by nothing to bail out poorly run govt institutions and private interests.... Fiat would be great if it was still on a gold standard. Bitcoin would still have plenty of use but it wouldn't be an existential threat to cash anymore. Right now cash is an existential threat to itself... Gold/Silver bugs are only multiplying... I got in to Bitcoin before I bought my first silver coin.... All the happenings are happening...

you are becoming a very good writer, because of steemit

Thanks for the kind words Craig!

The core value of all investments is the people involved. Crypto is no different.

Cryptocurrencies are different from FRNs, however, because they don't exist at the whim of tyrants and (depending on design) cannot be arbitrarily inflated. In that sense, they are far closer to the Biblical ideal of "honest weights and measures" than virtually all national fiat currencies. 😄😇😄
