It is good to question people who invests in Bitcoin, but I think there are two different camps of people that's in Bitcoin. Those that genuinely believe in the technology and others that are in it as an investment. You can't blame either camp though, there's investment on Bitcoin or keeping it in a bank which earns nothing right?

On the side of the drop I think it has to do with the news on Tether today, let's see how this news develop....
