I am not even sure we are to the point to compare blockchain to dialup. It is more we are in 1992 when nobody even was aware of the internet and we were still 6 years away from mainstream adoption.
Is it the start of the end of fiat dominance?
It very well could be.
Transaction time is still very slow for the mainstream blockchains.
One advantage to Steem is that it is a rather fact blockchain. We do a ton of transactions on here that go through instantly.
